I've always loved to write, and I've always loved notebooks and paper. I keep lists, write stories, record conversations, vent, dream, plot, and scheme in my notebooks.

But now that I've started drawing, I'm not leaving myself much room for the notes anymore.

Colored pencils and regular pencil in a new Moleskine notebook. Geraniums remind me of my mom. She liked bright geraniums on the front porch of her blue house.

  1. I like geraniums too, so bright and cheerful.

  2. Barbara: Not a bad problem to have, I suppose. :)

Annie: I agree, and geraniums seem robust too. It's good to be cheerful and robust.

  3. I love the writing here. We have to annotate notes in our sketchbooks and also incorporate words into our designs. Sometimes we forget the importance of words in drawing.
